Lieutenant El Hadi

sil02Lieutenant El Hadi was a Tunisian officer of the 3rd Battalion.

Leading the sections that took hill 470 during the preliminary offensive, Lieutenant El Hadi had his arm torn off by a piece of shrapnel during the assault. Left with only one arm, he continued to advance ahead of his men.

Close to the summit of 470, he finally fell, riddled with bullets.
